Fabric & Trim Developer

We are now looking to recruit a Fabric & Trim Developer to join our sourcing office in Hong Kong.

As a Fabric & Trim Developer you will play a key part in contributing to Haglöfs continued success by sourcing and developing technical materials that enables us to deliver top quality products with the highest possible sustainability standards.

Main responsibilities will be to drive material sourcing and development projects together with our material suppliers which aligns to our innovation, sustainability, quality and costing targets. You will be part of a creative network of internal stakeholders and collaborate closely with our designers, product developers, quality experts and sustainability team to define the collections for each season.

You will be responsible to keep the material development process under control and secure that materials are available on time for both prototypes and SMS, as well as making sure all materials are compliant with Haglöfs quality standards and arrange testing where needed.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop fabrics, trims and packaging for products in all our business areas in cooperation with our material suppliers.
• Secure that all materials are approved according to quality, color, price, MOQ & lead time according to seasonal timeline.
• Secure that materials are available for the manufacturer for prototype and make sure greige is booked and available ahead of SMS.
• Together with our Quality team, be responsible for arranging and follow up on material testing on seasonal basis.
• Monitor lead times and fluctuations in MOQ and prices and conduct negotiations on seasonal basis.
• Support our producers and suppliers on material related questions and follow, solve and settle quality & delivery issues.
• Responsible to check the utilization of material, predict minimum challenges and come with suggestions on improvement.
• Assist marketing and sales department with material information for marketing and sales purpose incl. information for the seasonal Work Book.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma in Textiles Merchandising/Technology or similar.
• Fluent in English & Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Centric PLM software is an advantage.
• Communicational and collaborative skills with a positive can-do attitude.
