Duties
The appointee will lead the administrative support for services and projects in the Section that facilitates user assessment and enhances user experience through the adoption of AI technologies and be required to:
(a) oversee administrative support for day-to-day activities within the section, utilising AI tools to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency;
(b) support the coordination of user engagement events and user assessment activities, which may include proofreading and preparing various publications, promotional materials and presentations;
(c) collect and compile statistics and draft reports related to quality assurance, including KPI and service standards;
(d) manage social media channels, optimising content and designing promotional materials to enhance library online presence;
(e) liaise effectively with internal and external parties that support library adherence to policy and operational compliance;
(f) provide secretarial support to committees and meetings; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree, preferably in marketing, communication, or related disciplines;
(b) at least five years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in sizable organisations or tertiary institutions;
(c) hands-on experience in social media promotion and graphic design;
(d) proficiency in GenAI tools and Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word;
(e) the qualities of a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive mindset;
(f) good customer service, interpersonal and communication skills; and
(g) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
