English/Science Tutor

Key Responsibilities (English Teacher) :

• Plan and deliver interactive English writing classes, focusing on creative writing, grammar, vocabulary building, and essay composition tailored to primary-level students.
• Conduct comprehensive English classes covering reading comprehension, listening, speaking, and phonics to enhance overall language proficiency.
• Prepare customized lesson plans, teaching materials, and activities aligned with Hong Kong's primary school curriculum and learning objectives.
• Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, homework assignments, and feedback sessions to track improvement and address individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on students' performance, providing constructive advice and progress reports.
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and builds confidence in English usage.
• Collaborate with other tutors and centre staff to contribute to curriculum development and centre-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (Science Teacher) :

• Plan and deliver engaging, interactive science lessons tailored to the needs of primary (Primary 3–6) and secondary (Secondary 1–4) students, aligned with the Singaporean curriculum.
• Teach core science topics, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, ensuring adherence to the Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus and learning outcomes.
• Assess students’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and develop individualized learning plans to address knowledge gaps.
• Utilize creative teaching methods, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications to enhance understanding of scientific concepts.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Stay updated on changes to the Singaporean curriculum and incorporate relevant updates into lesson plans.
