To further strengthen the fast-developing institutional advancement functions of the University, we are looking for a seasoned and dynamic fundraising professional to take up a key position in the Development Office.
Duties
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the appointee will play a key role in raising donations for the University from individual prospects and corporations, and managing fundraising projects. S/he is expected to take a proactive approach to develop fundraising strategies, identify and cultivate prospects, solicit donations, and organise stewardship activities. S/he will also support the University management and colleges/schools in the solicitation of institutional gifts and foster strong donor relations.
Requirements
- A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree, with at least 10 years’ post-qualification working experience;
- Strong connections and extensive contacts with industries and the commercial sector;
- Strong communication and leadership skills with outstanding organising ability; and
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required.
- Working knowledge of donor management system would be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have sound credentials in fundraising for education or philanthropic purposes.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
