EDPS Systems Limited is a leading supplier of skilled IT personnel in Hong Kong, providing innovative solutions to a wide range of clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced data analytics and predictive models for a cutting-edge project. You will work with large datasets, applying machine learning techniques to extract insights and create actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

o   Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for predictive modelling, including deep learning techniques (CNNs, RNNs, transformers), reinforcement learning, and time series analysis.

o   Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, employing feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, and anomaly detection methods.

o   Design and execute experiments to validate model performance, using A/B testing, statistical hypothesis testing, and model evaluation metrics (e.g., precision, recall, F1-score, AUC).

o   Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, presenting results through clear visualizations and reports.

o   Collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into production, using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and model serving frameworks (TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe).

o   Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, including publications, conferences, and open-source projects.

Qualifications:

o   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

o   Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modelling.

o   Strong programming skills in Python or R, with proficiency in data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

o   Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

o   Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

o   Familiarity with SQL and knowledge of version control systems (Git).

o   Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

o   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o   Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis or machine learning.

o   Excellent communication and presentation skills.

o   Preferred: Experience in AI applications for predictive systems and/or recommendation systems, including natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.

Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
