We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the 

School of Science and Technology:

 

Course Code: GEN 1110SEW

Course Title: AI in Action: Practical Applications Across Fields


The School of Science and Technology (S&T) would like to seek suitably qualified and experienced persons to develop new course materials for the 3-credit-unit course “AI in Action: Practical Applications Across Fields”.  It is a general education course (blended-learning mode) offered by S&T and is intended to be presented in the 2026 Spring Term.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Developing Course Content: Create engaging course materials, including examples and activities, as specified in the course document;

  • Providing Feedback: Review and offer constructive feedback on course materials to ensure quality and relevance;

  • Researching Online Readings: Identify and summarize essential online readings that support course objectives;

  • Engaging with AI Experts: Connect with AI professionals and startups to arrange interviews that enhance course content; and

  • Designing Interview Questions: Craft thoughtful and relevant interview questions to facilitate insightful discussions.

 

Candidates

Candidates are expected to possess the following:

  • An honours degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, STEM, or a related field;

  • Relevant professional or research experience in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related area;

  • Strong familiarity with AI concepts and applications, including generative AI and machine learning;

  • Teaching experience at the tertiary level, preferably in distance learning or blended learning environments; and

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the creation of clear course materials and effective engagement with stakeholders.

    

Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a freelance basis.
