This position is a great opportunity for a research-oriented professional with a background in economics or related fields to contribute to projects related to economic policy analysis. The following is a refined summary of the role:

Responsibilities

• Conduct research with strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Assist in drafting high-quality research proposals for grant funding and academic collaborations

• Coordinate and manage research projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to objectives

• Prepare academic papers, policy reports, and briefing materials for publication and stakeholder dissemination

• Organize workshops, conferences, and outreach activities to promote research findings

• Provide additional support to projects under the STEAM Research and Education Centre as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Econometrics, Economics or a related field

• Strong quantitative skills (e.g., statistical analysis, econometrics) and experience in policy research

• Experience with survey data analysis (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, Python, etc.)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team

• Prior experience in empirical research is a plus

Salary and Benefits

The commencing salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.   Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to 12 months
