Assistant Designer (Design Team) (Ref. 250623007-IE)
The Campus Development Office is enhancing its Design Team to offer comprehensive multidisciplinary and in-house design services that align with the strategic development objectives of the University.
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist in handling various architectural, planning and interior design projects, including preparing in-house feasibility study, conceptual layouts & design and detailed design works refinement;
(b) prepare various design options that fit optimally between requirements of the Senior Management and architectural design;
(c) monitor design quality and the progress of projects, and follow up with other team members to complete the design tasks;
(d) produce drawings, mockups, materials and finish samples as instructed;
(e) gather information and provide support in the preparation of presentation materials, design reports and other relevant documents which are required in the day-to-day design process; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree and at least five years of solid, post-qualification experience, preferably in the architectural/interior design fields;
(b) experience in capital, alterations and additions (A&A) and fitting-out works, with experience in institutional or hospitality projects being an advantage;
(c) self-motivation, good time management, and supervisory experience;
(d) proficiency in softwares such as MS Word, MS Excel and AutoCAD;
(e) good co-ordination and interpersonal skills; and
(f) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
