Assistant Career Development Officer in the Student Development Services [Ref. R/140/25]Duties
-
Provide daily administrative and logistics support for postgraduates’ (PG) career services, (including but not limited to career consultation services, career preparation and industry sharing workshops, E-Resources for selection processes, and managing the career consultation system);
-
Assist in planning and implementing employability enhancement programmes;
-
Organise recruitment talks, employers’ outreach and engagement events, career fairs, and other career-related initiatives;
-
Handle requests and inquiries about students’ career development and employment matters from students, employers, and internal staff members;
-
Input, analyse, and compile data for regular and ad-hoc reporting; maintain and update schedules and payroll information for Part-time Career Advisors;
-
Assist in designing and promoting career-related events;
-
Provide support in managing the social media platforms and advocacy projects of Career and Leadership Centre;
-
Liaise with employers, industry partners, academic units and alumni regarding job opportunities and career events for PG students; and
-
Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements
-
A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 year’s administrative/relevant experience;

Good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills;
-
Being self-motivated and passionate in facilitating students’ growth and career development;

Ability to work independently and in a team; and
-
Proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.

Knowledge of and interest in design and social media would be a definite advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
