AVK Valves Company Hong Kong Ltd is the AVK Holding Group’s sales company responsible for sales in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan & Korea. The AVK Holding Group is a global Danish multinational company, specializing the development, production and sale of valves and associated equipment around the world. AVK’s main focus areas are water, wastewater, household gas distribution, fire protection as well as a presence in industry segments, such as Oli, Gas, Chemical, pharmaceutical, hydro power and others.

The Role:

This role is responsible for providing Finance operation and administrative support to the Finance departments within an organization. This role involves handling various clerical tasks, maintaining financial records, assisting with account reconciliation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The Assistant Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial data and ensuring efficient processes within the organization. This position would be report directly to the Finance Manager.

  • Financial Data Management: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries for mainly for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea, sending statement of account to customers and prepare expense reports.

  • Annual audit and Administration: Assist Finance Manager on completing the annual audit and filings etc.

  • Maintain ERM System:Together with our operations manager, you will work to maintain our ERM system, ensuring all system data is up to date and consolidated correctly.

  • Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

  • Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues.

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Potential for Development:

The development opportunities for this role are to become a fully responsible for the finance of a geographic business area, such as Taiwan or Korea as well as leading a small team in Hong Kong. This accelerated development journey is supported by monthly 1-1 with the Finance & HR Manager as well as possibly quarterly 1-1 with Regional General Manager. IN addition to this, the company has options for supporting additional education and training courses, such as CPA.

Qualifications & experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred (fresh graduates may be considered)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Dynamics Navision, Business Central, Xero)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in Chinese and good in English, reading and writing.
