This is a very traditional dessert which used to be very commonly available in tea houses. Sago and custard are baked until slightly browned and served hot.

sago pearls 1/2cup
pudding mix 2 packets
water 3 cups
milk 1/2 cup
Method
Boil some water, and cook sago pearls until nearly transparent. Remove from water and place them in several heat-proof pudding cups.
Boil 3 cups of water, and pur into pudding mix, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Stir in milk as well, until mixture is smooth. Piur the mixture into the cups. Place in oven and bake until surface is slightly browned.
Tips
Best served hot.
