Senior R&D Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Product development, from conceptual design to project release, includes research and analysis, project engineering/technical support, construction design, materials sourcing, and patent searches.
• Report to the team manager and be responsible for collaborating with designers, engineers, different departments, and vendors to support new product development.
• As a team leader and team player, manage multiple projects independently in a result-oriented manner to meet task deadlines and project goals.
• Lead junior and mid-level engineers, teach and guide teammates, and encourage team spirit and teamwork.
• Regularly update knowledge on global products, technologies, components, and manufacturing techniques, and be able to apply them to new product designs.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Master in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• 5 years of experiences in product development with mechanical & electrical plastic products experience.  If 10 years or more engineering experience that is relevant, R&D Engineering manager is considered to offer.
• Creative, energetic, independent with leadership capabilities and able to work under pressure
• Good knowledge in prototype processing, plastic injection and assembly processing
• Good knowledge of electrical safety standard
• Good computer knowledge of CAD & MS Office
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Travel Requirements:

Travel to China as required.
