Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supervising a team of engineers and technicians to facilitate the recycling and treatment operations in compliance with all the government, statutory and company requirements.

(A) Job Descriptions:

1.     Manage a team of engineers and technicians to maintain the treatment lines

2.     Formulate preventive maintenance program for maintaining equipment reliability and efficiently in compliance with statutory, contractual and company requirements

3.     Plan, organize and execute team deployment to perform preventive maintenance, repairs and upgrading works for the plant machinery and plant facility with the target of plant efficiency optimization.

4.     Forecast, minimize, monitor, troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure the equipment robustness in meeting the production schedule, targets and quality requirements.

5.     Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth plant operations with regards downtime, manpower planning and scheduled maintenance works.

6.     Manage and liaise suppliers and subcontractors for full support of maintenance programme

7.     Guide, develop and nurture maintenance staff knowledge and competence in plant maintenance

8.     Educate plant operators with knowledge on plant and equipment and understanding on common faults and preventive measures

9.     In charge of maintenance track record of plant and build archive of equipment maintenance trace

10.  Other duties as assigned by management

11.  Shift work to fit maintenance cycles might be required per need basis

(B) Job Requirements: 

1. At least holder of Diploma in engineering discipline or equivalent

2. Minimum 5 years of relevant operation experience with at least 2 years at supervisor level in process manufacturing industry, heavy industry or waste recycling industry

3. Knowledge on Process Control System/Programmable Control Logic and general equipment maintenance is a plus

4. Strong leadership, people management and communication skills

5. Candidates able to lead hands-on maintenance would be an advantage

6. Electrician competence is preferrable
