Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Art teacher to join our art school, guiding students in developing their artistic identity, technical competencies and creative vision.

If you love sharing your artistic journey and have a strong appreciation of the Western art world, this role is for you. You will work closely with a dynamic academic team to stimulate creativity, encourage experimentation, and support students in developing high-quality, distinctive portfolios suitable for admission to top art universities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the creative and academic development of students in the Foundation Art & Design classes, supporting and guiding them across disciplines to explore materials, refine concepts, and build distinctive portfolios aligned with leading art universities worldwide;
• Collaborate with the Course Director and colleagues to design and deliver a rigorous, well-structured curriculum that encourages experimentation and critical thinking;
• Plan and teach engaging lessons in both group and one-to-one settings to develop students’ conceptual understanding, technical proficiency, and critical reflection;
• Lead students through research-based and exploratory art processes, with emphasis on 3D and Product Design, while also covering Fine Art, Graphic Design, Fashion, and Media if necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Art, Design, Visual Arts, or other related creative disciplines. Specialising in 3D and Product Design is a huge advantage.
• Strong understanding of the art world coupled with excellent teaching skills to effectively convey the value of art and design education.
• Proficient English communication skills to deliver course content and interact professionally.
• UK study experience, especially in Art and Design or related creative subjects, is a huge bonus but not essential. Alumni from UAL is definitely a plus.
• Experience in tertiary education is preferred but not essential.
• Candidates of all nationalities with relevant qualifications and skills are encouraged to apply.
