Part-time Multimedia Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Visual Content Creation & Design: Design and produce a wide range of high-quality visual assets for our clients’ social media channels, including static graphics, carousels, infographics, GIFs, and short-form videos that align with their brand identity and marketing objectives.

• Social Media Visual Excellence: Own the visual execution of the social media content calendar. Ensure all creative output is optimised for different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), resonates with the local Hong Kong audience, and drives community engagement.

• Illustration & Motion Graphics: Create custom illustrations and simple motion graphics/video edits to elevate our content, making it more engaging and unique. Stay current with emerging visual trends and platform features (e.g., Instagram Reels, Threads).

• AI-Enhanced Workflow: Leverage generative AI tools and platforms to accelerate the creative process, from mood boarding and concept ideation to asset generation and variation testing, while maintaining strict quality control and ensuring all output aligns with brand guidelines and creative direction.

• Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with the content strategy, performance marketing, and product teams to develop and execute visually compelling creative for marketing campaigns, ad visuals, product launches, and brand initiatives.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience: 1+ years of proven experience in a digital design, graphic design, or a related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing social media creative work. Agency or in-house experience is welcome.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field.

• Bilingual Proficiency: Exceptional, near-native command of written and spoken English and Traditional Chinese (Cantonese) is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.

• Local Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Hong Kong digital landscape, visual trends, and consumer preferences. Experience creating designs for both local and expatriate audiences.

• Technical Skills:

  • Design Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Video Editing: Hands-on experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut) for creating social-first video content.

  • Illustration: Strong digital illustration skills and the ability to develop unique visual concepts.

  • AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience utilizing generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly) for visual ideation, asset creation, and enhancing design workflows. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of how to use AI as a creative partner while applying critical human oversight.

• Analytical Mindset: An understanding of how design impacts performance metrics, with the ability to interpret feedback and data to refine creative work.
