Software Engineer (Backend Development)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Backend Systems: Build and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and databases to support web applications, ensuring scalability and performance.

• Database Management: Optimize databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to store and retrieve data efficiently while ensuring data integrity and security.

• Server Management: Configure and manage servers, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and deployment pipelines to ensure reliable application hosting and uptime.

• Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable code and implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure functionality and reduce bugs.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize backend performance, including response times, resource usage, and handling high traffic loads.

• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues in production environments, including diagnosing server errors, API failures, or database bottlenecks.

• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture to support team collaboration and future maintenance.

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or IT related disciplines.

• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot, REST API, CI / CD pipeline, MVC framework, and RDBMS.

• Good troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Well organized, detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
