System Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto), wireless AP

• Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal operation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration and security compliance

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, system setups, and standard operating procedures

• Manage physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux, VMware/Hyper-V).

• Manage OS patching and performance tuning.

• Implement and manage security tools: firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, DLP, and SIEM.

• Assist with incident response and disaster recovery planning.

• Manage IT monitoring tools for systems, networks, and services monitoring.

• Implement and verify backup/restore procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness

• Utilize monitoring tools to oversee system and network health, responding promptly to alerts and anomalies

• Conduct regular audits of systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices

• Ensure compliance with IT operations standards (ITIL framework preferred).

Requirements

• 4-7 years’ hands-on experience in IT system infrastructure

• More than 3 years of experience in system and network administration, with a strong emphasis on networking

• Experience with firewall management, particularly Palo Alto Networks, and VPN technologies.

• Familiar with Linux, Windows, AHV, SAN Storage and public Cloud platforms

• Hands-on experience with data center hardware installation and maintenance

• Experience in ITIL processes (ITSM), system integration/automation, web technologies and scripting languages (PowerShell and Shell Script)

• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions, as well as endpoint protection platforms

• Proactive and self-driven with enthusiasm to evaluate and implement new technologies

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services and applications.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Excellent command in English & Mandarin
