Job Description

Accountabilities:

Based within the country sales structure the Key Account Manager is responsible for managing key customers.  The role has accountability for the full scope of commercial interaction with the customers, ranging from development of sales strategy per customer to the management of promotional activities.  The role requires close cross functional interaction with trade marketing, supply planning, marketing, logistics, finance, and Information Systems.

  • Responsible for achieving strategic objectives per customer – including net revenue, gross margin, trade spend, market share
  • Building long term partnership with the customers and ensuring sales fundamentals and promotions are planned and executed in-store with excellence
  • Manage trade budget closely and continuously seek for maximization opportunities
  • Monitoring and providing analysis as the source of new shoppers’ insights, competitive strategies and effective portfolio brand management for the customer
  • Managing customer negotiations in relation to Reckitt commercial strategy and the customer trading terms.
  • Implementation and ongoing management of the category strategy per customer
  • Developing customer new product launch plans and ensuring successful implementation

Expectations:

1. Qualification

    Educated to minimum bachelors degree level in a business related subject - from a recognised University

2. Experience

  • Proven track record /sales experience with key multinational FMCG companies
  • Experience of influencing and engaging key figures in customer organisations
  • Fast-paced, ambitious with strong negotiation & communications skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams.
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
