Shipping Coordinator/Agent

Job Description:

• Assist the company's freight department’s overall shipping plan, handle the daily problem of shipping with global ports, assist the company in formulating the company's shipment plans and contingency plans.
• Analyze the market dynamics, the advantageous routes and service characteristics of major shipping companies, be familiar with the main generation of advantageous routes of each port, predict market trends.
• Develop high-quality business resources (shipping companies, large international freight forwarders, etc.) based on the company's annual procurement plan, and negotiate with partners on behalf of the company.
• Keep abreast of market conditions and freight rates and sort out analysis plans, provide decision-making basis for senior management, and control the overall cost of shipping for the company.
• Cooperate with the shipping operation department to feedback and collect the shipping schedule and space situation of each shipowner and each port terminal, and cooperate to solve the problems of space and container shortage encountered in the daily booking process.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration, Data Science, or related disciplines.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in freight, directly or indirectly, with familiarity in freight, customer service, and business operations.
• Preferred experience in the shipping department of a foreign-funded international freight forwarder, a large foreign-funded buyer company, or the route department of an international freight forwarding overseas office.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbally and written.
• Experience in business negotiation, with the ability to take charge independently.
• Strong sense of responsibility, honesty, self-discipline, and good team spirit.
