Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. The position will support students’ learning, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), while implementing behavioral strategies to enhance their educational experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Supervisors, Classroom Teacher and Head Teacher to facilitate effective student learning.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support using SEN approaches and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Lead and guide students in individual and small group activities as directed by the Classroom Teacher.
  • Conduct therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, to support students’ behavioral and educational needs.
  • Observe and document student performance and progress, reporting findings to the Head Teacher and Programme Supervisors.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
  • Prepare teaching materials, worksheets, and classroom decorations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment and assist in setting up activities.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, supervisors, and external consultants as required.
  • Foster a positive and dynamic environment that encourages healthy relationships among the team, students, and the wider community.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Classroom Teacher or Programme Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with professional proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A patient, empathetic approach and genuine enjoyment of working with children.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the field.
