Illustrator and Graphic Designer (Full-time)

Tadaland Limited a cartoon IP licensing company. If you are passionate about bringing cartoon characters to life through your creative talents, we would love to hear from you! We are seeking a creative and skilled Illustrator and Graphic Designer to contribute to the development of our cartoon characters and designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create eye-catching visuals while maintaining the essence of beloved characters. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and contribute to various projects, including social media campaigns, educational materials/animations, product designs, and different crossover projects and events.

Responsibilities：

• Create captivating and cute illustrations in a Japanese style that effectively express the features and personalities of our characters for a variety of licensing purposes, including merchandise, promotional materials, and digital platforms
• Use design software to develop high-quality character artwork that appeals to both the young adult and family/children markets
• Demonstrate proficiency in product and merchandise design in the IP industry, supported by a strong portfolio of previous work
• Apply strong hand-drawing skills to brainstorm ideas and collaborate with the team to produce original storyboards, social media content, and marketing visuals
• Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and client expectations, maintaining consistency across assigned cartoon characters and style guides
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate fresh, innovative ideas into merchandise (e.g., phone cases, apparel, lifestyle products) and various promotional materials (both online and offline)
• Make independent aesthetic decisions using strong artistic and graphic skills.
• Manage print quotations and liaise with vendors to ensure high-quality production
• Collaborate across departments to support company branding, integrated communication, marketing strategies, and project execution

Requirements:

• Portfolio is a MUST for the application. Proven experience in using illustrator for graphic and illustrations design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and creative abilities.
• Strong hand-drawing skills are a MUST. Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in illustration or graphic design within the IP or product design industry
• Degree or Higher Diploma in Illustration/Visual Communication/Graphic Design/Animation/Multimedia Design/Creative Media/Digital Marketing, or related disciplines.
• Proficient in industry-standard design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, and InDesign, etc.), especially for Illustrator, Photoshop, and Clip Studio.
• Creative, well-organized, detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility, and able to work independently.
