The Role:
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Electronics and Electrical Engineer with substantial hands-on experience in electronics hardware, electrical systems, embedded design, and test automation. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the electrical and electronics aspects of product development - from concept and schematic design to PCB layout, prototyping, validation, and production transfer - within the Consumer Products industry.
Your primary focus will be on delivering robust, manufacturable solutions while proactively addressing challenges during development. You will maintain direct communication with our international clients and collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers across our factories in Southern China. Duties and Essential Job Functions:
- Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, development, testing, validation, production transfer, and delivery of electronics and electrical systems
- Lead hardware architecture design, analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, EMC/EMI considerations, and safety compliance
- Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and test plans; supervise prototyping and iterative refinement
- Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams on vendor selection, sampling, and qualification of components and PCBs
- Define and implement hardware validation plans, including functional, reliability, thermal, and EMC testing
- Develop and maintain hardware design documentation, technical specifications, and change control
- Ensure product compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements (e.g., safety, EMI/EMC, environmental)
- Develop and implement test fixtures, test jigs, and automated test workflows
- Engage with customers to capture requirements, provide technical guidance, and present design concepts and progress
- Transfer products to manufacturing, and assist with first article runs
Specific Skills
- Preferred degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in electronics hardware design, embedded systems, and product development
- Strong proficiency in analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout (EMS considerations), and power electronics
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, wireless modules, and embedded firmware interfaces
- Solid understanding of EMC/EMI, safety standards, and product compliance processes
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping, lab testing, and development of test fixtures
- Proficient in reading and creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight schedules
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin
- The Job requires the successful applicant to be stationed 5 days (or Daily travel) at the office in Shenzhen with our team.
