About the role
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at the Immigration Centre in Tuen Mun. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and support to the detainees of the Immigration Centre. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the overall health and wellbeing of the detainees.
What you'll be doing
- Taking charge of the dispensary and medical stores ad to ensure all drugs, instruments, syringes and equipment, etc, are securely stored
- Distributing drugs as prescribed by Medical Officers to the detainees directly from the clinic to the detention blocks
- Inspecting the Sick Bay regularly
- Assisting Medical Officers in monitoring and maintaining proper procurement, stock replenishment and control on medicines including dangerous drugs and ensure that all medicines are securely locked up and not accessible to anyone without permission
- Making entries into the clinic registers, records and books properly and assist the Medical Officer in compiling returns, reports and statistics as required
- Performing specimen collection, X-ray scanning for detainees, conduct screening and handle clinic waste disposal
- Adhering to all applicable healthcare regulations and standards
- Overnight shift is required
What we're looking for
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hong Kong
- At least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a similar healthcare setting
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese)
