Job Description
1. Trade Settlement & Treasury Management
Responsible for daily trade settlement, treasury management, and expense verification (e.g., reconciliation of OTC derivatives such as swaps, options, forwards, etc.), ensuring trade records match counterparty/clearinghouse reports.
Assist in optimizing financial processes, tracking cash flows, and ensuring timely fund transfers (including interest payments/collections, maturity settlements, etc.).
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
Perform bookkeeping in compliance with HKFRS and company policies, and prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
Support audits by providing transaction-related financial data and explanations.
3. Compliance & Risk Control
Familiar with Hong Kong regulatory requirements (e.g., SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses) to ensure AML/KYC compliance.
Assist in audits, tax filings, and other compliance tasks.
4. Tax Management
Handle Hong Kong profits tax returns and analyze tax treatments for derivatives (e.g., source-based taxation implications).
Monitor cross-border tax compliance (e.g., FATCA/CRS reporting).
5. System & Process Optimization
Maintain and enhance financial systems (e.g., ERP, trade settlement platforms), ensuring accurate data integration with trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
Develop/improve SOPs for derivatives settlement to minimize manual risks.
6. Cross-Department Collaboration
Liaise with traders, risk, and compliance teams to resolve settlement disputes or valuation discrepancies.
Support product teams in pricing analysis by providing cost-benefit assessments from a financial perspective.
7. Other Responsibilities
Manage relationships with partner banks (e.g., DBS, ZA Bank, Standard Chartered) to ensure smooth payment channels.
Assist in establishing partnerships with international banks/financial institutions to support global business expansion.
Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields preferred.
2.5+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in derivatives accounting; familiarity with ISDA agreements is a plus.
3.Accounting qualifications preferred (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA); proficiency in HKFRS 9 Financial Instruments.
4.Knowledge of cross-border payments, FX controls, or digital currency operations is advantageous.
5.Proficient in financial software (Excel, ERP) and BA/SQL for big data processing.
6.Strong communication skills to coordinate with banks, clients, and internal teams efficiently.
7.Prior experience with international banking/payment institutions is preferred.
8.Fluency in English and Chinese (written & spoken) for cross-border documentation and communication.
