Computer Science & Mathematics Teacher

ME Education was founded in 2006 as an English Language school and has grown into a comprehensive tutorial centre for all ages. We specialise in academic tutoring for students following international and local curricula (including IB, AS & A-Level, IGCSE, AP, and DSE), standardised US and UK test preparation, and programs specifically designed for young learners, as well as assisting families throughout the admissions and cultural transition processes. We operate four learning centers across three locations in Causeway Bay, Kowloon City, and Mong Kok.

We are currently seeking Computer Science and Mathematics teachers who can conduct lessons in English and Putonghua to teach Secondary International and Local students in Hong Kong after school hours. Candidates must be able to contribute in a results-oriented and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• To conduct Computer Science and Mathematics subjects for both international and local Students

• Be able to perform student assessments, develop teaching plans, and implement curriculum lesson plans and educational programs for students within areas of expertise.
• Prepare appropriate teaching materials and reports on student progress, and set learning goals
• Provide students with constructive feedback and assign homework
• Be well-informed and sensitive to cultural issues, and build meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds
• Be friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic - show interest in your students and care about their progress; recognise different learning styles and student preferences

Qualification & Experience

• Academic Degree:A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ICT, Mathatics or a related field is standard.

• Teacher Qualification:A recognized local or international teacher qualification is mandatory, such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in Hong Kong or a PGCE/QTS from abroad. 

• English and Putonghua Fluency:fluent in English (near-native) with basic conversational Mandarin (Putonghua).

• At least 3 years of teaching experience in Computer Science & STEM subjects is highly preferred.
• A general understanding of IB, AS & A-Level, I/GCSE, AP, and DSE courses is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in an international school or local school is highly preferred.
