Job Description

Harrow International School Hong Kong is the first international boarding and day school in Hong Kong. It is the third school in the Harrow family of schools in the Asia region and provides a British education from Early Years to Year 13 in custom-built facilities in a stunning location in Hong Kong. Job Description

  • Serving the Upper School reception area and providing quality customer service to all visitors, pupils and parents, and handling telephone and email correspondence from parents and external parties
  • Handling day to day administration and operations of the Upper School Office such as data entry, filing, and handling lost and found property
  • Assisting and producing various spreadsheets, labels, paperwork and laminating documents required for Upper School activities and events
  • Managing and maintaining stationery stock for the Upper School Office
  • Assisting and providing logistical support to the Upper School teachers for different meetings and events, including but not limited to venue reservation, catering arrangements, etc.
  • Monitoring and maintaining attendance records throughout the entire school day, including tracking pupil lateness and absences. Ensure timely updates to the School database (e.g. iSAMs) to reflect accurate attendance data for all pupils.
  • Working in close liaison with the Upper School Manager on any ad-hoc tasks requiring support, ensuring timely and accurate completion. This includes adapting to changing priorities and collaborating with team member to meet project goals effectively.

Other responsibilities:

  • Implementing safeguarding procedures at the School
  • Undertaking duties as the Head of School or a designated representative may reasonably request.

The post holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable request by the line manager to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description. This job description may be amended at any time following discussion between the line manager and member of staff, and will be reviewed annually.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

    Higher diploma or above

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with positive and courteous manner
  • Proven problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Computer literate

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in the same or similar line of work. Experience in a school setting or familiar environment is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment would be an advantage
