Temporary College Lecturer (QEF Project) in Oriental Studies Subject Group in the College of Humanities and Law


Duties:The appointee will assist the Programme Director in the coordination and administration of the “Quality Education Fund (QEF) Thematic Network - Designated Themes on Learn and Thrive Together – Supporting Kindergarten Students in Learning Chinese” project. Responsibilities include assisting in curriculum development, mentoring junior teaching staff, evaluating school-based progress, and preparing academic reports. The appointee will also help promote the integration of educational technologies, including AI-driven tools and digital teaching platforms, and support schools in enhancing their digital teaching capacity through collaboration with the teaching and research teams.


Requirements: Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of early childhood teaching experience, or a doctoral degree. A strong command of written and spoken Chinese and English is required, with good interpersonal and organisational skills. The candidate should be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and be familiar with institutional administration and financial operations. Experience in curriculum design and development of teaching materials is preferred.


Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will be on temporary basis with expected end date of 31 August 2026.
