Residential Services
Responsibilities:
-
To be based on-site at Residential Services units to provide immediate, hands-on support for technical operations (building, fire safety, electricity, gas, ventilation, plumbing, etc.), maintenance and property management for their daily operation and emergency situations;

To conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal facility performance;
-
To offer expert consultation on facility management, technical improvements and risk prevention strategies;
-
To collaborate closely with Residential Services staff to identify and resolve facility-related issues;
-
To maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and improvement plans;
-
To coordinate with external contractors for specialized services as required;

To recommend enhancements to improve facility reliability, energy efficiency and user experience;

To prepare facility improvement plans, and draft works services procurement and tender documents;
-
To assist Residential Services units in meeting the building and fire safety requirements of the licence application and renewal; and
-
To carry out other duties as required by the supervisor(s).
Requirements:
-
Bachelor Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, Property Management or a related field with professional certifications in technical trades (e.g., Registered Electrical Worker, HVAC Technician) an advantage;

At least 5 years of experience in facility management, building maintenance or technical operations;

Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems;

Proven ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations;

Excellent problem-solving, crisis management, communication and interpersonal skills;
-
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and property compliance standards;

Proficiency in maintenance management systems and reporting tools;
-
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment; and
-
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Dr. Liu had committed herself to helping people with mental illness all life long. She joined the Mental Health Service of Department of Health as Assistant Medical Officer in 1952. In 1958, Dr. Liu started a practical form of group psycho-therapy for patients in the hospital. This group therapy had been very successful that the participants wished to continue it beyond hospital care.
