Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Job Description:

• Provide support to internal teammates on platform, middleware and database.
• Provide advanced technical and functional consultancy services to customers.
• Deliver and implement advanced Database and Data Management solutions.
• Deliver database platform design, setup, configuration and administration.
• Deliver Database performance monitoring and tuning solution.
• Perform middle-tier platform setup, configuration, administration and upgrade.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on production issues.

Requirements:

• High-diploma or university graduates in Computing and Information System or equivalent.
• Basic concept and foundation skills on relational database, such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Knowledge in infrastructure standards and practices.
• Knowledge in middle-tier application platforms, such as IBM Information Server, Informatica, Tableau, etc. is a plus.
• Knowledge in cloud service, such as Azure, AWS, etc. is a plus.
• Knowledge and concept in SQL tuning is an advantage.
• 3 years of relevant experience in IT supporting or DBA.
• Able to work independently and self-motivated.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good team player.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
• Immediate available or short notice definitely an advantage.
• Candidates with less experience will also be considered.
