Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate and tune mapping and navigation systems for autonomous mobile robot
- Implement intelligent strategies for path planning and obstacles avoidance on a mobile robot
- Fuse information from different sensors (IMU, LiDARs, encoders, …) to realize SLAM, robot localization and navigation algorithms
- From the information of LiDAR and depth camera, build environmental maps (2D/3D) for navigation of autonomous mobile robot
- Build a map management system for robotic application
Job Requirements
- M.Phil., or Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or related field
- Solid programming Skill in C/C++, Python in Linux environment
- Strong experience in designing and developing robotic systems using a robotic middleware (such as ROS), and existing libraries and tools
- Develop, integrate, and analyze sensor fusion algorithms such as extended Kalman filters, unscented Kalman filters, particle filters, or factor graphs
- Knowledge of LiDAR SLAM, 2D/3D Vision SLAM, robot path-planning and localization
- Familiar with SLAM frameworks and experience in applying SLAM related libraries such as Slamware
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve
