The Group Marketing team is a centralized, shared resource across regions and Business Units. A role you will love

Reporting into the Senior Content and Delivery Marketing Manager and partnering closely with the local front offices team and the business marketing teams, the Senior Localization Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns across the Issuer and Plans business units to support the localization of assets for the People and Corporate Communications Team with a focus on Asia, and predominantly in the Greater China, Korea and Japan. 

It works across all marketing channels including but not limited to social media (LinkedIn and WeChat), online and in-person events to consult the APAC marketing business partners for Issuer services and Plans to ensure that the marketing strategies and execution plans are fit for the Asia region and audiences. It also ensures marketing compliance to privacy laws for events and mass emails and will advise the marketing and business partners accordingly.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:  

  • Provide regional insights to inform the Marketing strategy, plans and campaigns briefing to identify campaigns localization requirement at briefing stage

  • Conduct research into appropriate channels, associations, content formats and other factors to shape campaign delivery

  • Deliver the marketing initiatives identified in each business unit’s plans so they are delivered on time, on budget, on brand and to a high-quality standard

  • Work with the Business Marketing teams to review the campaign assets and ensure that they are fit for purposes from a local cultural and language perspective

  • Educate other marketing and front office colleagues about legal requirements dos and donts and ensure they are being followed

  • Translate marketing assets into Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese as required

  • Manage review and approval flow of localized assets with key stakeholders 

  • Manage company’s terminology in Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese ensuring consistency

  • Leverage to Company terminology management tool (TextUnited) to ensure that translations are effective and consistent

  • Project manage outsourcing translation work to an external translation agency for other languages when applicable

  • Organize and execute Computershare hosted physical events and industry events

  • Execute virtual events leveraging the digital platform (Webex)

  • Execute social media campaigns on local social media channels 

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with external suppliers (E.g. event organizers, marketing agencies, merchandise suppliers etc) to coordinate campaign requirements and maximize the benefit gained from their expertise. 

  • Track and report on campaign’s performance and key learnings informing the Marketing Effectiveness Program

  • Support localization and translation of contents for Corporate Comms and People

What will you bring to the role?   

You will have over 10 years of marketing experience and a solid understanding of the different functions of marketing and corporate and internal communications and knowledge of developing and executing short- and long-term communication plans as well as an in-depth understanding of key business metrics, company goals and strategic initiatives. You will have proven experience in working in a multinational environment in a related industry and Asia regions.

You will have advanced English and Traditional Chinese skills, and an excellent level of proficiency in written Simplified Chinese copywriting skills, and spoken Chinese in Mandarin and Cantonese. It is highly essential int eh role to be proficient in translation. 

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • An education qualification in Marketing or Business

  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into targeted and compelling communication plans

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with senior stakeholders and managing difficult conversations

  • Capable of managing suppliers and drive good service delivery

  • Independent, adaptable, and team oriented with the ability to work to tight and often conflicting deadlines, to determine priorities and manage day-today activities and workload. You will also have a keen eye for detail
