Senior Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

Core Accounting and Treasury Operations

Day-to-Day Accounting: Oversee and execute daily financial accounting tasks, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger maintenance.

Treasury Management: Focus heavily on day-to-day treasury and payment operations, ensuring efficient cash flow management, timely processing of payments (both local and international), and accurate bank reconciliations.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Structural Improvements & Scaling

Process Optimization: Identify and implement structural improvements to existing finance processes (accounting, treasury, reporting) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

System Upgrades: Actively participate in and support finance system upgrades and migrations, including testing, data preparation, and post-implementation support.

Internal Controls: Strengthen the finance function by maintaining and improving internal controls and compliance procedures.

Internal and external stakeholders:

Collaborate with other business units (e.g., Operations, Tech) to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

While supporting the Financial Controller, serve as a contact point for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in a finance function, with hands-on experience performing both accounting and treasury (payments) tasks.
• Education/Qualification: Educational qualifications for finance are preferred, including a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are highly advantageous.
• System Experience: Some experience with finance system upgrades, implementations, or significant process transformation projects.
• Languages: Fluent in both Cantonese and English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with local and international stakeholders.
