Job Description
Responsibilities:
A) Sales and Promotion
- Meet company sales and profit targets
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to create promotion plan and execute sales strategies, events and PR activities
- Evaluate brand and product performance and adjust promotion plan based on sales reports
B) Merchandising and inventory control
- Forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels
- Monitor sales and inventory though pricing strategies
- Develop merchandising strategies based on sales data and market trends
- Optimize buying decision by comparing different vendors / suppliers price list and shipment performance
- Set pricing strategy to maximize company profit
C) Brands Relationship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor or suppliers
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendor or suppliers to secure favourable deals and minimize risks
- Communicate with vendor for shipment and product information
- Provide product feedback and suggest suppliers for new products
D) Clerical Support
- Prepare sales reports and assist in pricing mark-up / markdown plan
- Maintain online sales system
- Support new business initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements:
- University graduate in Business Administration or related disciplines
- 5 years’ buying experience in retail/FMCG, experience in tobacco or luxury industry is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese)
