Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Job Highlights

• Participate in a large-scale multi-year territory wide public facing Government system implementation project, and ongoing operation, support & maintenance after launch

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience with 2 years at managerial grade

Job Description

• Oversee the implementation of systems infrastructure (server hardware and software, databases,  network and client PCs) by multiple subcontractors and suppliers to the design blueprint in multiple – sites.

• Lead the acceptance tests e.g. resilience test, disaster recovery test, performance test.

• Lead the maintenance team with multiple subcontractor and supplier to provide 7 x 24 service for the customer’s operations, support & maintenance services.

• Develop and execute the support & maintenance plan; manage a small inhouse team and the potential outsourced vendors.

• Reports to the Senior Project Manager, and work closely to peer team leaders to provide a stable infrastructure service.

• Interact with customer’s IT members directly in project delivery; manage customer expectation and escalation.

• Participate in other business opportunities development.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline.

• 10 years IT experiences with minimum 2 years in managerial or project management role.

• Experience in directly managing subcontractors and vendors in infrastructure implementation as well as ongoing operation and support will be an advantage.

• Track record in project delivery to government or public sector clients.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-initiative, result oriented and always able to deliver to commitment on time.

• Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, good written English and Chinese.

• Experience working in vendor, system integrator or consultancy will be an added advantage.
