Primary Learning Support Teaching Assistant

KIS is recruiting a learning support teaching assistant who has a keen interest in working with students with mild special educational needs in a mainstream classroom setting. 

Primary Learning Support Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Work with lead teacher to monitor the class schedule
• Assist teacher in lesson planning 
• Assist teacher by preparing lesson materials and the setting up of equipment
• Work with students individually or in small groups to revise lesson materials
• Collaborate with lead teachers in creating student learning plans              
• Document student progress and communicate with learning support team
• Attend regular meeting and training courses

The specialist Teaching Assistant must:
 

• Hold a Bachelor Degree (preferably in Education or a relevant area)
• SEN teaching certification preferred
• Have at least 2 years of relevant working experience with SEN students
• Strong English written and verbal skill
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to support classroom team
• Ability to work closely with lead teacher
• Teacher qualifications a plus
