Job Description
We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:
Part-time Teaching Assistant (2026 Spring Term) [UG] (S&T) - (R6579) (Ref: 25002JF)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Completing related duties including preparing teaching notes, marking and commenting on assignments and examination papers;
- Assisting in the development of teaching and learning activities;
- Providing consultation to students; and
- Performing other related teaching and administrative duties.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence for the relevant course(s) are specified as follows:
BIOL 1003SEF and BIOL 103F Essential Biology
- A higher degree, in Biology or a related discipline.
- Relevant teaching experience would be an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint.
BIOL 2036SEF and BIOL 236F Cellular and Molecular Biology
- A higher degree, in Biology or a related discipline.
- Relevant teaching research experience would be an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Duration of Appointment
The appointees will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from January 2026 to June 2026 for a maximum of 17 hours per week.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
