Job Description
Canadian International School of Hong Kong is seeking a Lower School Grade 3 Homeroom teacher on a fixed term basis, from February 23 to May 31, 2026. This role will include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student work, as well as other standard professional obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the PYP framework.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and integrate global contexts into the curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student learning and development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education.
- Minimum two years teaching experience.
- Experience teaching in an international or IB school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and child-centered education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate should have a valid Hong Kong teacher registration and hold a valid Hong Kong work visa.
