Maintenance Manager / Assistant Maintenance Manager

Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited (HKDC), a subsidiary of Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, operates the District Cooling System in Kai Tak Development and manages HVAC systems across major sites. HKDC drives sustainable urban development with energy-efficient cooling solutions.

Location: Kai Tak

Responsibility for the daily Operation & Maintenance in accordance with the contract requirements :

• To lead maintenance team including engineers, supervisors and technicians to carry out day-to-day works, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks of district cooling systems including chillers, water pumps and cooling towers etc
• To plan the preventive and corrective maintenance work with consideration of operation needs and new installation
• To review maintenance work procedures and ensure the team follows
• To review work safety and work quality
• To monitor and coordinate with works by sub-contractors
• To familiar with the plant E&M installation and to solve day-to-day technical problems
• To direct the team to keep maintenance records and prepare reports
• To provide management to the team and provide training
• To take the lead in providing technical proposals and improvement opportunities
• Perform root cause analysis on the performance and failure equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in BS / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer is preferred
• Strong communication skill, English, Cantonese, Putonghua preferred

Requirements:

• At least 8 – 10 years of experience in operation and maintenance of large-scale chiller plant e.g. district cooling system / energy centre / shopping mall, etc.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Maintenance Manager
• Sound knowledge in electrical and mechanical equipment operation and maintenance
• Professional membership from a relevant organization is an advantage
• Leading skill in managing maintenance team and subcontractors to conduct various maintenance tasks
• Good interpersonal skills, Independent and self-motivating
