Laboratory Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management: Oversee laboratory operations, including specimen processing, testing procedures, and reporting of results.

• Staff Supervision: Manage and mentor laboratory personnel, including training, and performance evaluations.

• Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

• Compliance: Ensure laboratory adherence to regulatory standards and maintain appropriate documentation.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the laboratory budget, including resource allocation and cost control measures.

• Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure proper usage.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement new technologies or methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or a related field

• Holder of Part I Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) in HK MLT Board with valid practicing certificate

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role for sizable team.

• Multidisciplinary experience preferred, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, and Molecular Genetics

• Knowledge of ISO 15189:2022 requirement and previous laboratory accreditation process is highly preferable

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in laboratory information systems.
