Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support, assistance and transfer knowledge to staff members, address and resolve staff’s inquiries on IT
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects / solutions on areas such as technical support, system upgrade/maintenance, data security management and web application development
- Handle data and system backup / restoration, collect system log and backup log
- Oversee and manage web-based platforms, cloud-based platforms, web server / application and website / CMS etc.
- Inventory management and procurement; liaise and coordinate with vendors on purchasing, tendering and maintenance of IT hardware / software etc.
- Computer / server / network / IP phone equipment configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Provide IT support during events and perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or relevant disciplines
- With at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in non-profit sector. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant IT Officer.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, covert technical information to non-technical staff members
- Knowledge of, and experience in the latest cloud hosting technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure), programming and network administration, various server products such as Linux, Apache, SQL, VMware, FortiGate network products would be an advantage
- Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team. Able to work outside normal office hours as required.
- Good command of written and spoken both English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Good interpersonal skills, and strong in problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
