About the role

The Children's Institute of Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our dedicated team of staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional educational experiences for our students.

What you'll be doing

• Providing inspirational leadership and mentorship to a team of talented teachers
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that fosters academic excellence and well-rounded student development
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations in a small-group classroom setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
• Collaborating with Case Supervisor and Directors to discuss curriculum and learner’s behavioural plans and learner’s goals (Individual Education Plan) to drive continuous improvement
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress, and implementing data-driven strategies to support individual learning needs
• Promoting a culture of innovation, creativity, and professional development among the staff

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, teaching qualifications preferred, with a strong focus on primary education
• 1-2 years of special education teaching experience, with the use of English as the medium of instruction
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and professionals
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
