Harrow International School Hong Kong is seeking a dynamic and visionary educator to become our next Head of Upper School. This is a pivotal senior leadership role with strategic responsibility for academic excellence, pastoral care, and boarding.
Start date: August 2026

Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and implement the vision for the Upper School, driving the school's goal to be the leading choice in Hong Kong and Asia.
- Oversee curriculum development, teaching quality, and assessment to ensure outstanding academic outcomes for all pupils at GCSE and A-Level.
- Lead the strategic development of our pastoral care and boarding provision, ensuring the highest standards of wellbeing, happiness, and safety for every pupil.
- Provide supportive and challenging line management to a team of senior leaders, including Deputy/Assistant Heads and Housemasters/mistresses.
- Oversee the implementation of behaviour and rewards policies, fostering a positive and high-achieving school culture.
- Take responsibility for the Upper School budget, co-curricular programmes, and effective communication with parents and the wider community.
- Play a key role in promoting the Upper School and in the recruitment of both high-calibre staff and pupils.
- Uphold the school's fundamental commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A good honours degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification (including QTS).
- A proven track record of successful senior leadership in an Upper School setting, with extensive experience of GCSE and A-Level.
- Significant experience in a senior safeguarding role (Level 3 Trained or willing to train).
Skills & Knowledge:
- A strategic visionary with the ability to inspire pupils, staff, and parents.
- An outstanding classroom practitioner committed to high standards in teaching and learning.
- Deep knowledge of pastoral care, boarding standards (e.g., National Minimum Standards), and co-curricular education.
- Excellent communicator with outstanding organisational and administrative skills.
