Job Description
Dalton School Hong Kong (DSHK) is seeking exceptional candidates to join our high school founding team 2026-2027 as we shift the paradigm in education. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to moving away from the traditional industrial model of siloed subjects toward a transdisciplinary, integrated, and personalized education model.
Key Responsibilities:
Visionary Leadership: Guide the high school community as an instructional leader, championing a holistic approach that supports students’ academic, emotional, social, and personal growth.
Curriculum Innovation: Oversee the development and implementation of a student-led, inquiry-based, dual-language curriculum aligned with the Dalton Plan and internationally recognized standards.
Team Empowerment: Foster a collaborative culture by mentoring and supporting faculty, promoting reflective practice, and leading professional development in progressive education and blended learning.
Blended Learning Advocacy: Leverage AI and educational technology to personalize learning experiences while preserving the human connection central to DSHK’s philosophy.
Student Success: Ensure robust academic preparation, guiding students to excel in AP exams, SATs, and university admissions through strategic instructional leadership.
Community Building: Cultivate strong relationships with students, families, and staff, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative learning community that celebrates bilingualism and sociocultural awareness.
Strategic Oversight: Manage high school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and program evaluation, to align with DSHK’s mission and vision.
Reflective Leadership: Model adaptability and differentiation, regularly collaborating with faculty and leadership to refine practices and meet diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of leadership experience in a high school setting, preferably in a progressive, child-centered, or dual-language environment.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, with strong communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
Progressive Education Expertise: Deep understanding of the Dalton Plan, inquiry-based learning, and differentiated instruction, with a commitment to fostering student agency and independence.
Passion for Innovation: Enthusiasm for integrating educational technology and AI to enhance learning while prioritizing student well-being and human connection.
Cultural Competence: Experience in multicultural or bilingual settings, with a passion for promoting biliteracy and sociocultural awareness.
