Global Transportation & Logistics Manager

What You'll Do:

Optimize Global Transportation: Drive synergies and control across sea, air, road, and parcel transportation lanes.

Lead Key Projects: Spearhead initiatives in B2B/B2C logistics, focusing on network analysis, lead-time improvement, process optimization, and cost reduction.

Manage Logistics Tenders:Prepare and support tenders for transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

Forwarder Management: Ensure all SLAs are met, covering rates, service, account management, claims, contracts, and process optimization.

Develop KPIs:Maintain key performance indicators and management information systems to control freight budgets.

Daily Operations:Handle rate queries, shipping, packaging, customs, and resolve issues related to damages or late deliveries.

Coordinate Stakeholders:Act as the liaison between warehouses, suppliers, sales, and customers.

Team Support: Provide backup for team members during their absence.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport management
  • Minimum 2-5 years in supply chain management, with a focus on warehousing and transportation operations (air and ocean). Road management beneficial.
  • Experience as a key account manager or strategic freight purchaser.
  • Expertise in distribution process optimization, transit time analysis, tender and rate negotiations.
  • Experience working with small cross-functional teams spread out across the globe and contributing to projects.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • English is mandatory. Other language(s) will be a plus.
  • Proficient in ERP (SAP preferred), TMS, and Office Systems, with excellent Excel skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to handle change and work independently.
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and bring them to closure.
