Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor import/export cargo operations, including air and sea transportation, trucking, and warehousing arrangements, while maintaining clear communication with customers.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and warehousing providers to optimize cost and service quality.
- Prepare quotations and invoices by calculating transportation costs using logistics software (e.g., CargoWise), and ensure accurate data entry.
- Provide customer support for transportation-related inquiries and assist other sales and operations staff as needed.
- Research international transportation regulations, including liaising with relevant government agencies to ensure compliance.
- Prepare performance and operational reports, and participate in internal and external meetings, including minute-taking.
- Travel overseas occasionally (primarily to Mainland China) and represent the company at exhibitions and industry events as required.

Required qualifications
Language Requirements:
- English: Business level
- Mandarin: Conversational level (typing required)
Cantonese: Native
- Report to the direct manager must be conducted in English.
- Occasional communication with clients in Mainland China in conversational Mandarin is expected.
- Interest in working in a Japanese-language environment is welcome. (Japanese proficiency is not
mandatory.)
Industry experience:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry or in the cargo division of airlines is required for the position applied for Ideally, candidates should have:
- Experience in both air and ocean freight operations.
- Preferably, hands-on experience in issuing both air waybills and ocean bills of lading during the above operations.
Candidates with IATA DGR certification for dangerous goods handling will be viewed more favourably.
