Frontend Developer

EDPS Systems Limited is currently seeking a Frontend Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Translate UI/UX designs and mockups into high-quality, responsive web interfaces.

• Develop maintainable, reusable frontend components using modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular; familiarity with Next.js is a strong plus).

• Implement and customise UI elements using Material UI, Bootstrap, or equivalent UI frameworks (mandatory).

• Collaborate with backend, data engineering, and product teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth, end-to-end workflows.
• Optimise performance across browsers and devices, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness.

• Apply QA testing concepts: write unit/integration tests for UI components, align with QA processes, and contribute to the team’s Agile testing workflow.

• Ensure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to CI/CD best practices.
• Identify and fix UI bugs, usability issues, and recommend enhancements.
• Actively participate in Agile development cycles (planning, delivery, review, iteration).

Requirements:

• Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.

• Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular).

• Experience with Material UI, Bootstrap, or similar component libraries.

• Solid understanding of responsive design and web/mobile accessibility standards.

• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs or GraphQL backends.

• Familiarity with frontend unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of performance optimisation techniques (minification, lazy loading, bundling).

• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work within cross-functional Agile teams.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Experience building dashboards, data visualisation tools, or SaaS platforms.

• Exposure to Next.js or server-side rendering frameworks.

• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex, Zustand) and CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS).

• Hands-on with design collaboration tools (Figma, Photoshop).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Minimum 2-year relevant experience.
