City Contemporary Dance Company Limited (CCDC) is Hong Kong’s first full-time professional company pioneering in contemporary dance. Over the past 45 years, CCDC has inspired and elated audiences in Hong Kong and around the world with its superb performances. The Board of CCDC is seeking candidates interested in a rewarding career in the arts for the following position:
Executive Director
Responsibilities
As a key member of the top leadership, alongside the Artistic Director, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future. Reporting to the Board of Directors, he or she is responsible for the overall performance of the Company, including but not limited to:

To collaborate closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the effective execution of the Company’s vision and mission

To develop and implement business and development strategies, plans and goals and provide leadership and guidance to the team to drive organizational success

To develop and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders, local, regional and overseas
-
To oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the overall performance of the company
-
To oversee the company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
-
To ensure fulfilment with the agreements with the Government and other funding bodies
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be an inspiring leader and team player with vision and passion in strengthening CCDC’s position as a prominent international cultural institution. He or she should possess the following:

University qualifications with 12-15 years relevant experience in arts administration, of which 6-10 years in senior positions

A strong knowledge and network in the performing arts sector

Good business sense, organizational, management and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task and work in a rapidly changing environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English, and proficiency in Putonghua
-
Proven leadership ability with excellent people management skills
-
Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Experienced in fundraising with a successful track record
-
Have substantial experience in dealing with government bureaux and departments
