Job Description

Dalton School Hong Kong (DSHK) is seeking exceptional candidates to join our high school founding team 2026-2027 as we shift the paradigm in education. We are looking for passionate educators who are committed to moving away from the traditional industrial model of siloed subjects toward a transdisciplinary, integrated, and personalized education model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Holistic Support: Serve as an Advisory Teacher, valuing a holistic approach to support the academic, emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being of each student.

  • Content Specialization: Act as a content specialist in English, facilitate project-based learning and mentor students in personalized projects, while collaborating across disciplines.

  • Blended Learning: Embrace blended learning models, utilizing AI and educational technology tools to personalize learning while maintaining the “humanness” of education and safeguarding students' well-being.

  • Collaborative Curriculum Development: Lead the design and implementation of a student-led, inquiry-based, dual-language curriculum that aligns with internationally-recognized standards.

  • Community Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with students and co-create respectful and collaborative learning communities.

  • AP/SAT Exam Preparation: Provide instruction and academic support to students, ensuring they achieve university-ready scores on AP English and SAT verbal exams through effective instruction and guidance.

  • Reflective Practice: Participate in co-teaching and co-planning, regularly collaborating with colleagues for supervision and professional development.

  • Adaptability and Differentiation: Create and modify lesson plans to engage students, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Education or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in a progressive, dual-language, child-centered environment.

  • Flexibility and Communication: Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Ability to collaborate and reflect on one’s practice.

  • Understanding of Progressive Education: Familiarity with the Dalton Plan and experience with child-centered, differentiated curricula.

  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for working with children and their families, believing that all students can learn and thrive.

Appointment:
  • Contract: Two-Year Contract

  • Start Date: 1 August 2026
