Director of Information Technology – Information Technology Services Centre
(Ref: DIT (ITSC) 2025-05-23)
Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), the Director of Information Technology is responsible for providing leadership to the Information Technology Services Centre in developing IT policies, infrastructure, applications and services for the long-term sustainable development of the University. The appointee will play a leadership role in advancing the University’s IT infrastructure to support student learning outcomes and advancing robust data management frameworks in the AI era. He/She will take responsibility for formulating plans, strategies and policies for ITSC to support the strategic development of the University; supervising the application team in design, development and enhancement of University applications; leading ITSC in the delivery of computing facilities and services to staff and students, and in consultation with departments/ offices identifying users’ needs and providing expert advice to projects; and exploring new technologies for applications.
Applicants should possess a higher degree and relevant professional qualifications in Information Technology/Computer Science or related disciplines, plus a substantial record of successful project management and effective leadership at senior management level in sizable organisations; solid experience in IT Infrastructure and Security, Network & System Management, Application Development, Security Risk Assessment, and Technical Support, etc.; strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills; and excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Experience of working at the tertiary education sector will be an advantage.
