About company
Saint Francis University and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers
Saint Francis University (SFU or the "University"), established in 1985 as Caritas Francis Hsu College(later renamed as Caritas Institute of Higher Education), is a not-for-profit, self-financing degree awarding institution in Hong Kong dedicated to providing quality tertiary and higher education.

In 1990, the University was approved by the Hong Kong Government to provide post-secondary education and had since offered three-year Professional Diploma programmes. In 2001, the Institute was accorded the registration status as an approved post-secondary college (under the Post-Secondary Colleges Ordinance, Cap. 320). In 2011, the Institute was granted degree-conferring status and changed its name to Caritas Institute of Higher Education.

The University is devoted to serving the community through the provision of professional training and sound education to students who can serve the community and extend the greater good. SFU's programmes encompass health sciences, social sciences, and techno-humanities and business, which would benefit the community at large.

SFU continues to respond to societal and student needs by progressively enriching the undergraduate and professional programmes it provides. The first postgraduate programme was launched in 2021 to enhance students' articulation and career pathways. Together with its adjoining sister college, Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC), the Institute establishes multiple, flexible articulation pathways from diploma to postgraduate programmes covering over 35 disciplines. SFU, with the support of CBCC, aims to provide quality education opportunities to help students with different needs and from different backgrounds realize their potential.

Embracing the dedication to "Service with Love" in the tradition of our sponsoring body, Caritas – Hong Kong, the Unviersity strives to nurture students who are not only professionally well-trained and academically well-educated but who can also contribute to the social and moral well-being of society.

Caritas Institute of Higher Education renamed as Saint Francis University since January 2024, a well-respected and internationally recognized unviersity.
